Crown Point Community Foundation 2015 Awards Scholarships

Crown-Pont-Community-Foundation-Scholarships-2015Students pursuing degrees beyond high school were given some additional financial help this year from the Crown Point Community Foundation. The foundation awarded 99 scholarships totaling over $276,000. These funds were made available through the generosity of the foundation donors and endowment fund distributions. Below is a listing of Scholarship Awards and the recipients.

The scholarship program at the Community Foundation continues to grow and have an impact. As Nelson Mandela once stated, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

A scholarship committee helps to review and score the applications, interview the students and finally to award the scholarships. The scholarship review team consists of foundation board members and community volunteers. A scholarship fund at the Community Foundation is a way for a donor to connect to the future. A scholarship fund can be established to memorialize or honor an individual or family member.
