Crown Point Car Cruise returns June 2

The weekly Crown Point Car Cruise returns for the 2022 season Thursday, June 2, at Bulldog Park, located at 183 S. West St.

The Crown Point Car Cruise will be held from 4:15-8 p.m. every Thursday from June 2 through Sept 29. The car cruise will feature live entertainment, as well as food vendors.

This year, car cruise participants should arrive at Bulldog Park no earlier than 4 p.m. Cars will not be allowed to enter the pavilion before 4 p.m. Visitor parking will not be permitted in the Chase Bank parking lot before 5 p.m. After 5 p.m., only visitors are permitted to park in the lot. No classic car parking is permitted in the Chase bank parking lot. The West Street municipal lot and the Bulldog Park parking lot will be open for car cruise attendees.

Participants of the car cruise should have a classic car that is at least 20 years old. Cars made after 2002 will not be allowed entry into the car cruise.

“We are excited to have the car cruise back at Bulldog Park,” Crown Point Entertainment Superintendent Diana Bosse said. “This event marks the beginning of summer for Crown Point, and we can’t wait to welcome the community back to Bulldog Park to see classic cars and enjoy music from local bands.”

A majority of the City of Crown Point’s Summer Concert Series will take place during the car cruise, with Gunner Brightwiser and Bonfire set to kick off the 2022 series on June 2. The Lauren Dukes Duo and Soundz of Santana will play June 23; Eric & Char and The Relics will take the stage July 7; Mindi & Amber and The Crawpuppies will go on July 21; Jack Whittle and The Stoney Curtis Band will play Aug. 11; Deuces Wild and Mellencougar will play Aug. 25; and Reggae Express
will close out the series of car cruise concerts on Sept. 29.
