Crown Point Business Professionals of America “#Bulldogs Mean Business”

CPHS-BPA-DLCOnce again, the Business Professionals of America chapter at Crown Point High School has qualified to compete in the State Leadership Conference, to be held in Indianapolis, on March 15, through 17th. On Saturday, January 10, C.P. B.P.A. “Bull Dogged” their way through the District Leadership Conference competition held at Portage High School, where they competed against other high school students in a number of business events. Students with the top scores in each event progress to the state leadership competition where over 2,000 BPA student members will compete.

C.P.H.S. B.P.A. Advisor, Mary Bachnak indicated, “This year, we had a diverse group of events and everyone performed at their best. Students competed in accounting, marketing, entrepreneurship, broadcast news production, computer programming, interview skills, economic research, small business management, presentation management, banking and finance; medical office and legal office procedures, and word processing documents.” Student participants are Alex Alessia, Mollie Bates, Andrew Baumeister, Zach Bratcher, Hannah Carter, Kelsea Costello, Lauren Costello, Nick Grothaus, Haley Grubbs, Nathan Hovanec, Remy Hulen, Suzy Ickenroth-Martel, Ben Jasek, Joe Keck, Amy McNally, Alex Manchak, Jillian Milicki, Lauren O’Keefe, Allison Okeley, Claire Olah, Alycia Pappenheim, Shelby Sell, Honorata Soltys, Michael Truckey, Kyle Venditti, and Jill Zimmerman.
