The City of Crown Point is gearing up for a spooktacular October filled with free, family friendly events.
Oktoberfest
Oktoberfest returns to Bulldog Park on Saturday, Oct. 5. The free event features something for everyone, including live music, local food vendors, a beer garden, face painting, hayrides, and more! PROST!, a traditional polka band, will kick off the event’s live music from 2-4:15 p.m., followed by a performance from Ed Wagner’s Brass Band from 5-7:15 p.m. Party Foul, a dance/party band, will close out the event from 8-10 p.m. Time: noon to 10 p.m.

Fire Prevention Open House
Visit the Crown Point Fire Department for its annual Fire Prevention Open House from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6. Meet local firefighters, learn about fire safety and more! There will be resources from local organizations, an obstacle course and safety demonstrations. Concessions and Crown Point Fire merchandise will be available for purchase.

Wine & Canvas
Join Instructor Terry Chapman for Wine & Canvas from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Bulldog Park! Event registration includes art supplies, a complimentary beverage of choice and guided instruction. Participants will paint a spooky gnome. This event is open to all ages! Space is limited.

Pumpkin Walk
Trick or treat around the square at local businesses in downtown Crown Point. Participating businesses will have a Pumpkin Walk flyer in the window. For a list of participating businesses, please visit the City of Crown Point Facebook page, @CityofCrownPointIN, closer to the event date. Costumes are encouraged, but not required.

CPPD Trunk or Treat
Trunk or treat with the Crown Point Police Department! Visit Legacy Fields at Center Ross Park for trick-or-treating with the Crown Point Police Department. Crown Point officers and local agencies will have their cars decorated with lots of candy and swag. Costumes encouraged!
Time: 1-3 p.m.

Trick-or-Treating
Trick-or-treating will be held rain or shine on Halloween. Participating homes should turn on a porch light to welcome trick-or-treaters.
