Courthouse Foundation and Methodist Church Wish You a Belated Happy April Fools’ Day

On behalf of the First United Methodist Church of Crown Point and the Courthouse Foundation, we want to wish Crown Point a belated Happy April Fools’ Day, and to express the hope that we were able to bring you a smile on a cold Monday morning.

On Monday, April 1st, we partnered together on a pair of practical jokes, one on the lawn of the Old Courthouse and one on the grounds of First United Methodist Church. Both were done in a good spirit and with the mutual consent of one another. These jokes were done in the spirit of lighthearted fun, and we appreciate all those who smiled, or had a laugh as they passed by.

More to the point, we joined together on these pranks because we each want to be more than two buildings occupying a small bit of geography in Northwest Indiana. Instead, it's our wish for both of our organizations to be living, thriving, and contributing parts of the spirit and character of Crown Point.

We love our community, and each of us come from roots deep in the history of our city. We are honored to partner together for a bit of silly fun in a time when all of us can use a smile or a laugh. Thank you, Crown Point.
