On Monday, November 3 from 4:30-6 p.m. at Gelsosomo’s in Chesterton, Congressman Pete Visclosky will attend the United Way Canstruction Wrap-up Celebration. The event is being held to thank Canstruction participants and to present them with Congressional certificates and trophies.
United Way’s Canstruction is an event that features sculpture-building competitions where sculptures are made entirely out of cans of food. At the end of the event, all of the food is donated to local food banks. Competitors consisted of middle school students from Lake and Porter County.
