CompressAir thanks customers for decades of loyal support

This Thanksgiving, CompressAir is looking back on over 30 years of history as a locally owned and operated business and thanking the customers, past and present, who have helped them get to where they are today.

Founded in 1987, and owned by the local Crowl family for the last 17 years, CompressAir’s grown into an industry leader in offering efficient and reliable products and services across Northern Indiana. Thanks to the loyal support of their customers, who have grown alongside them, their team now includes 28 employees: three full-time sales, 12 full-time service technicians, and a customer and operations support staff.

“A majority of our customers have been with us since our family purchased CompressAir 17 years ago,” said Andy Crowl, owner of CompressAir. “Just like we’ve grown, it’s exciting to see our customers have built their businesses through the years.”

Since his family took ownership, Crowl’s seen businesses grow from small startups to local stalwarts.

“One of our customers bought their first compressor from us,” he said. “It was just a small 10 horsepower machine. Now, they’ve grown so much that they’re up to multiple compressors with much bigger horsepower.”

As a local business owner himself, Crowl takes a lot of pride in and feels a lot of gratitude in seeing how many businesses have turned into return customers.

“It’s our goal to give our business to those in our community, as well as to those who do business with us,” he said. “Our motto here at CompressAir is ‘ease of doing business.’ To us, that means making it easy to do business with us again and again. When we meet with customers, we bring a plan – that helps win us jobs and return customers.”

Crowl noted that he is especially thankful for the support CompressAir’s customers have shown throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

“COVID’s had businesses struggling over these last few years, and it’s created some supply and demand struggles,” he said. “We’re grateful that our customers have stuck with us, staying patient and loyal even when their equipment or parts are taking longer than expected.”

With the steady support of their customers, CompressAir’s shown double digit growth rates year after year since taking on the Sullair line of compressors in 2008.

“To all of our customers, thank you for your support through the years,” Crowl said. “We are grateful to be working with each and every one of you. Everything we do is meant to accommodate you with reliable products and keep your facility running effortlessly.”
