On Wednesday, September 28th at 11:00 a.m. Mayor Joe Stahura, City of Whiting officials, Ace Hardware representatives, Royal Bank and the Hyman family proudly gathered for the official groundbreaking of Hyman’s Ace Hardware. The groundbreaking took place at the site of the future Hyman's Ace Hardware coming soon to Whiting, located at 2031 Indianapolis Blvd. between Community Ct. and Clark Street.
“We are really excited to be expanding to Whiting, and look forward to providing the community and surrounding area with a new Ace Hardware,” explains Roger Clousing, Project Manager.
The future Hyman’s Ace Hardware is a member of the largest retailer-owned hardware cooperative in the industry. From neighborhood hardware stores to lumberyards, to super-size home centers, this Ace Hardware is unique and tailored to meet the needs of the Whiting community. The new store is expected to open in Spring of 2017, as a 14,000 square foot building featuring multiple departments including Lawn and Garden, Outdoor Living, Paint and Housewares, Automotive and much more. The new Ace will focus on offering customers knowledgeable advice, helpful service and quality products.
