City of Whiting Halloween Festivities Beginning October 24th

whiting-halloweenFall is upon us and the City of Whiting is gearing up for costumes, sweets, and Trick-or-Treats. Join us for our Halloween festivities by attending Whiting’s Haunted Hayride, Annual Halloween Parade, and of course Trick- or-Treating on Halloween Night.

Kicking off the festivities on October 24th, 25th, and 31st, is the Whiting Haunted Hayride at Whihala Beach, located at 1561 Park Road in Whiting. The Hayride will take place at 6:00 p.m. and last until 10:00 p.m. Tickets are $5.00, which includes two hayrides, a pumpkin patch, a variety of Halloween games and movies, cookie decorating, a concession stand and more!

The City of Whiting’s Annual Halloween Parade will take place on Saturday, October 25th 2014 at 1:00 p.m. down 119th Street, in historic Downtown Whiting. Parade line up will be in the parking lot of Whiting City Hall and begin traveling on New York Avenue. The parade will then travel east down 119th Street to Oil City Stadium where there will be treats for everyone. So, rather than eating too much candy all in one night, join us for this family-fun opportunity to dress up in your costumes, and spend the afternoon in Downtown Whiting for some early Halloween festivities.

Trick-or-Treat hours this year will be from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 31st. We wish to see all of you at this year’s Haunted Hayride and Halloween Parade, and hope you have a safe and Happy Halloween!
