The City of Gary will host its annual September 11th Commemoration Ceremony to remember those who lost their lives at Ground Zero in New York and to honor the Gary fire and police personnel for their heroic efforts every day. The ceremony will take place on the steps of Gary City Hall, 401 Broadway at 8:00a.m. Members of the Gary Fire Department will render musical selections. The community is invited to attend.
Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson, Councilman-at-Large Ronald Brewer, Police Chief Larry McKinley, Fire Chief Teresa Everett and the men and women of Gary’s Police and Fire Departments will be in attendence.
