City of Crown Point cancels 2021 14th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Night-time Parade

Due to the continued public health concerns of COVID-19, the City of Crown Point announces the cancellation of the 14th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Night-time Parade.

“Governor Eric Holcomb, of the State of Indiana continues to extend the Public Health Emergency and restrictions on nonessential gatherings,” said Mayor David Uran. We are hopeful the release of the

COVID-19 vaccine as well as the decreased positivity rate will allow us to gather soon.

The City of Crown Point St. Patrick’s Day drawing contest will still take place with submissions due by Wednesday, March 15th.  Interested participants can view the contest rules on our website at www.crownpoint.in.gov.

The Downtown Business Window Decorating contest will also take place with residents voting for their favorite holiday window display.  All participating businesses should register with the city by emailing ajansen@crownpoint.in.gov and have their windows decorated by Friday, March 12th.  Voting will be available on the city website at www.crownpoint.in.gov beginning Monday, March 15th and end on Friday, March 26th.   The 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners will be announced at the April 5th City Council Meeting at 7pm receiving an engraved award plaque.

The corned beef & cabbage dinners will be available for drive-thru service on Tuesday, March 17th from 12 – 3pm or until sold out at the Crown Point Fire Station located at 124 S East St. The meals include corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, bread, butter, dessert, and a beverage. We will offer the adult meals for $10 and Senior meals for $9, cash or credit payments will be accepted.
