CHS Musical Seussical, May 2014

Chesterton-High-SchoolThe Chesterton High School Music and Theatre Departments will present the musical, Seussical, on Friday, May 9 at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, May 10 at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, May 11 at 2:00 p.m. in the CHS Auditorium. Tickets are $10 for adults; $8 for seniors/students and children five and under are free. This show is sure to be a hit for adults and kids alike. Seussical takes the famed stories of Dr. Seuss and incorporates them into a fun-filled musical that takes place inside the imagination of a small boy. Along the way we learn lots of valuable lessons and get to see these famous characters come to life on stage.

The cast includes seniors Brian Lesnick as the Cat in the Hat, Oscar Rodriguez as Horton the Elephant and Danny Vincent as the Mayor of Who. Juniors Taylor Troop as Gertrude, Jake Williger as General Schmitz, Mike Lipinski as The Grinch and Bethany Van Drie as Mrs. Mayor of Who. Sophomores Jenny Haggerty as Mayzie, Diva Bridegroom as the Sour Kangaroo, and Tanner Fowler as Yertle the Turtle and freshman Lyle Reyes as JoJo. The show also features characters like the crazy Whickersham Brothers played by sophomore Sean Puent, Junior Rowan Holsen and freshman Wyatt Lee and the Bird Girls played by senior Aby Matthys, junior Nicole Flores and sophomore Natalie Mayersky.

The show is directed by Kristin Morris, choreographed by Alex Hall with instrumental direction by Vince Arizzi.
