Christmas Production “The Story Of Light” Preparing To Thrill Thousands, December 7th and 8th In Downtown Hammond

Story-of-Light“The Story Of Light” promises large doses of holiday cheer, Saturday, December 7th, at 6 p.m.; and Sunday, December 8th, at 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. This family-friendly event is no charge to the public, and will be held at the First Baptist Church of Hammond.

Dan Wolfe, the director and producer of the program, says that audiences can expect a delightful mix of new and traditional elements. “‘The Story Of Light’ will feature a 50-piece orchestra, a 120-voice choir, vocal quartets and a children’s choir - all centered around a story that blends drama and humor. Families will love it!” Pastor John Wilkerson will host the event, and will bring important elements to the story, as well.

Folks tend to have tighter schedules during the weekend, so we’re offering a Saturday evening option, along with our traditional Sunday schedule,” Wolfe said. “That way, friends and neighbors can have more opportunities to join in the fun.”

The First Baptist Church of Hammond has theater seating for 7,000 people, and two 20-foot IMAG screens that will blend other story elements into the production as well. First Baptist Church is located at 473 Sibley Street, in Downtown Hammond. Additional information will be available online, at www.fbchammond.com; phone 219.932.0711
