Chesterton Middle School Celebrates 2016 Pi Day

Pi-Day-at-CMS-TOP-2016The Chesterton Middle School seventh grade math department celebrated their ninth annual Pi Day this year by reading books to the students, researching the history of Pi, participating in a variety of 'irrational' activities, and the crowning of the Queen, King, Princess and Prince of Pi Day from each math class.

Students competed by reciting as many digits of Pi as they could remember and some students participated in a word search that contained words related to Pi. Pi Day would not be complete without the eating of real "pie" as a culminating activity. The CMS seventh grade math teachers sponsor this event each year.
