Chesterton High School students perform in All-State Ensembles

Chesterton High School music students are again among the finest in the state of Indiana! This year CHS had 4 students selected for Indiana All-State Ensembles (Choir and Orchestra) and one CHS student selected for Junior All-State Band. The All-State Ensembles are selected from high school music students all over the state.

The 2020 All-State Choir members are Lauren Bolla (grade 10) and Caroline Ausema (12). The 2020 Junior All-State Band members is Bridget Wisdom (9) The 2020 All State Orchestra members are Gavin Dooley (9) and Libby Gibson (9).

"Getting into the All-State Ensembles is a huge honor for these students," said CHS Music Department Chair Kristin Morris.

The Indiana Junior All-State and All-State Ensembles performed as part of the Indiana Music Education Association Professional Development Conference in Ft. Wayne on Friday and Saturday, January 17 and 18. The directors of the All-State ensembles are some of the finest educators and college professors in the country. Working with conductors of this caliber is one of the benefits of being selected for the All State Ensembles.

"We are extremely proud of our student all-state musicians for performing with the best student musicians in the state of Indiana, under the direction of some amazing educators," Morris added.
