The Chesterton High School Show Choirs competed this past weekend at the Enterprise High School Southland Show Choir Classic in Enterprise, Alabama. The group departed on Wednesday evening and arrived in Alabama on Thursday afternoon and shared in an exchange with the Enterprise HS Show Choirs and shared in some comraderie and food. Friday was spent in Panama City Beach.
The Sandpipers competed on Saturday in the Large Mixed Division where they earned first place and advanced to Finals. In Finals, Sandpipers were named Grand Champion of the contest and were awarded the caption of Best Vocals. Drifters competed in the Women's Division and they earned second runner-up (third out of eight groups). There were 20 groups in three divisions that performed that day with the top five groups making finals.
