A total of 19 soloists and six ensembles received Gold medals; and two solos received silver in the ISSMA State Solo & Ensemble contest.
ISSMA State Solo & Ensemble for Vocal & Piano was held on Saturday, February 21 at Perry Meridian High School in Indianapolis. ISSMA State Solo & Ensemble for Band & Orchestra was held on Saturday, February 28. Band held was at North Central High School in Indianapolis. Orchestra was at Northview Middle School in Indianapolis.
The vocal student competing attend Chesterton Middle School and Chesterton High School and are under the direction of Duneland teachers Vince Arizzi of CMS/CHS, Tom Schnabel of CMS, Michael Scheiber of CHS and Kristin Morris of CHS.
