Chester IT to host “Business Before Hours” breakfast: Protecting your assets in a secure, multi-cloud environment

Chester IT, in partnership with Datto, Inc, is hosting an exclusive “Business Before Hours” Sunrise Session Breakfast on April 14 at Avalon Manor. The session’s topic is “Protecting Your Assets in a Secure, Multi-Cloud Environment.” Together, the IT service providers will demonstrate how to increase your cloud resilience while protecting against ransomware and other cybersecurity threats.

“Organizations large and small are expanding their use of the cloud beyond email and simple file sharing,” said Chris Kotul, director of Chester IT. “Staying nimble and answering the demands of an increasingly mobile workforce is more important now than ever before. However, moving workloads and applications to platforms like Microsoft Azure doesn’t reduce the risk of ransomware and outages.”

For organizations considering moving their workloads to the cloud, it is absolutely critical to understand how to protect your data – as platforms such as Azure cannot take care of everything alone. During the breakfast sunrise session, Chester and Datto will showcase solutions to this problem.

“As your business expands the use of the cloud, it’s important to remember that you’re still responsible for protecting your own data, even if it is in Microsoft’s data centers,” Kotul said. “The Chester and Datto Continuity for Microsoft Azure eliminates the confusion of calculating your monthly cloud bill with a flat-fee solution that covers all of your Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (DR) costs, including egress and virtualization.”

While the session will largely focus on tools for Microsoft Azure, the concepts and best practices that Chester and Datto will demonstrate apply to workloads hosted in any cloud platform, such as Amazon Web Services or Google. As a result, IT professionals and technical decision-makers from any organization migrating to the cloud can learn from this morning session.

“We know how hard it is for people to break away in the middle of the day to attend an event,” Kotul said. “We wanted to have this ‘before hours’ so everyone could enjoy breakfast, learn a little, and carry on with the rest of their day.”

Attendees will also have chances to win valuable prizes, such as gift cards. The first 30 registrants will be entered into the Grand Prize Drawing – which includes a Resin 3D Printer and SLA Printer Kit, Apple Airpods, and more.
