Chenn Zhou Recognized by The Society of Innovators of Northwest Indiana

Chenn-Zhou-Recognized-by-The-Society-of-Innovators-of-Northwest-IndianaPurdue University Northwest Director of the Center for Innovation through Visualization and Simulation (CIVS) Chenn Zhou has been nominated for the highest Fellow award of the 2017-18 class of The Society of Innovators of Northwest Indiana.

Previously named a Society Fellow in 2005 and a recipient of the team Chanute Prize in 2012, Dr. Zhou is nominated for the Society’s Gerald I. Lamkin Fellow for Innovation and Service.

The Gerald I. Lamkin Fellow for Innovation and Service award honors visionaries and innovators who practice extraordinary service to the community, region and world. Zhou is recognized for her establishment of the Steel Manufacturing Simulation and Visualization Consortium that aspires to uplift the American steel industry.

Award winners will be announced the morning of the society’s 13th annual induction ceremony, Oct. 26, at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond.

The Society of Innovators was established by Ivy Tech Community College in 2005.
