CertaPro Painters of Northwest Indiana hosts new client open house

On October 29, CertaPro Painters of Northwest Indiana hosted its new client open house. This event was open to the public and all employees as a way to celebrate and educate potential clients on CertaPro’s services. CertaPro also invited the public to learn more about opportunities to join its team. This event featured burgers, hot dogs, and the entire CertaPro team.

Owner and President John Jordan manned the grill during the day and educated the community on the services CertaPro provides. CertaPro offers residential and commercial painting, both indoor and outdoor, as well as career opportunities.

“As the exterior season starts ending and going into mostly interior for the holiday, we’re just doing a little cookout. A lot of our crews aren’t working today because it’s raining, but we wanted to have some food for them to come out,” Jordan said. “We did want to offer it to the public in the event that we’re always hiring. We welcome them to come learn more about CertaPro.”

CertaPro has plenty of opportunities for the public to join their team. Although part of the day was to bring the public in to learn about CertaPro, the main focus was on employee appreciation.

“It’s very easy for someone who works primarily in the office and sales to lose the appreciation for what they do every day. I’m in a home for an hour or two hours, but our painters are with them for days. Knowing that we want to establish great culture and have them be stewards of CertaPro, it’s important that they know how much we value them and that we all value the customer. Starting with our employees, our painters, and our workers, is a great start,” Jordan said.

Production Manager Juan Espinoza understands the importance of showing employees how much they are valued in the workplace.

“It means a lot to them. You’re taking the time to recognize the hard work they do and cook a little something. A lot of painters will say ‘I want to see money,’ but this is more like a gratitude thing for them,” Espinoza said.

Not only does CertaPro appreciate its employees and clients greatly, but it also delivers on their values. CertaPro has established itself in the community by doing what it says it's going to do. CertaPro offers great service that clients can rely on.

“We stand behind our values. We deliver what we promise,” Espinoza said. “We have warranties in place, we always go back and attend to our customer needs, and we get back to them as soon as we can.”

Director of Operations Mark Powers has been with the company for eight years and has always seen CertaPro deliver on its values.

“It’s one of the things we put at the forefront. Even with the growth and adding people, it’s still something that anybody that we bring into the business, we want to maintain those values,” Powers said.
