Centier Bank, Indiana’s largest private, family-owned bank, proudly celebrated the opening of its relocated downtown Fort Wayne branch (127 W. Berry St.) with a ribbon cutting ceremony and reception on October 17. Located in the newly renamed Centier Bank Building, the 13,500 sq.-ft. branch underwent the largest interior renovation in Centier’s 129-year history.
Centier Bank’s Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board Mike Schrage, alongside President Chris Campbell, Fort Wayne Market President Doug Wood, Regional Sales Manager Scott Vermillion, and Branch Manager Dijana Hrncic, welcomed members of Fort Wayne’s business community, local chambers, renovation project partners and nonprofit organizations to the celebration.
“The preparation and opening of this branch have been special from the start, and we are proud to further our Fort Wayne legacy by adding Centier Bank’s moniker to this iconic building and downtown Fort Wayne’s skyline,” said Mike Schrage, CEO and Chairman of Centier Bank.”
Centier Bank partnered with Fort Wayne's Design Collaborative and Michael Kinder & Sons on a significant interior renovation project. Together, they created a modern retail banking experience in the historic Fort Wayne building and found ways to maintain the incredible detail of existing architecture and interior design elements where possible. Intact are the lobby’s limestone details, ornate ceilings and trim, and impressive columns. New to the banking center is reenvisioned hospitality and reception areas, expanded office space, additional teller stations, upgraded lighting and a self-service coin machine. The new branch also includes a convenient drive-through lane, a drive-up ATM, a night deposit box, and customer parking.
"We are incredibly excited to be up and running in this new location, a beautiful space designed to enhance the banking experience for our current and future clients,” expressed Doug Wood, Fort Wayne Market President. “The Centier Bank building reflects our commitment to growth in the Fort Wayne community and dedication to providing exceptional service to its residents and businesses for years to come.”
It was important for the bank to mark this meaningful milestone with a community-focused initiative for continued impact and support of the region. During the ceremony, the bank generously donated $2,500 to both the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne and Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana. Leaders from these reputable nonprofits focused on youth development and empowerment were in attendance to accept the donations and celebrate alongside Centier Bank.
