The Calumet Striders honored their Gold Cup participants from 2013 at a banquet at Avalon Manor Merrillville on Saturday, January 25.
What a great night for honoring all of our Gold Participants from 2013. There were so many awards and so much fun had. A special thank you to our sponsors Select Physical Therapy, Extra Mile Fitness and Dr. Chanbo Sim. This year we were honored to have special speaker USA Olympian Debbi Sullivan. She helped runners think about how to mentally prepare for running. Imagining yourself doing exactly what you are setting out to do no matter how hard it may seem. Runners were then able to go take photos in a photo booth with lots of fun props.
The night was closed out with two hours of fun and dancing provided by the band Together.
