MERRILLVILLE – Michael E. Schrage, President and CEO of Centier Bank, is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Thurman as its Financial Intelligence Unit Manager serving in the bank’s Corporate Centre.
As the Financial Intelligence Unit Manager, Thurman manages the security of branches, support BSA / AML and fraud investigations. He is a 27-year veteran of the Valparaiso Police Department, where he served as a detective for his last 9-years of his career. The Governors State University alumnus graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in 1992, is a past member of the Northwest Indiana Major Crimes Task Force and has certifications from the Reid School of Interviewing’s advanced program.
