For the second year in a row, the Calumet Community of the Pathway to Adventure Council, BSA has partnered with Strack and Van Til (SVT), to help with Scouting’s annual popcorn fundraiser, which benefits Scouts in Northwest Indiana and Chicago’s southern suburbs.
Working closely with the amazing staff at SVT, the Boy Scouts were able house, sort and distribute the popcorn to all the participating Cub Scout packs, Boy Scout troops, and Venture crews.
The hospitality shown by SVT was second to none. SVT employees offered food and refreshments to the volunteers and gave them access to warehouse equipment so they could move all that popcorn to where it needed to be.
Boy Scouts of America would like to thank Strack and Van Til, especially Director of Maintenance and Energy Don Erminger, and Maintenance Administrative Assistant Loren Lazzara.
Strack and Van Til also catered the 10th Annual Shooting Sports Event, which raised funds in support of Scouting in the Chicagoland Area.
