Lindsay Evorik, wealth specialist of BMO Private Bank, expressed her appreciation of the event. “Myself and Todd

“Myself and Todd Bredar, owner of Stardust Bowl, got together one day and decided that we wanted to do something that involved the community and bring together different business owners and their friends and families for a great cause. We immediately thought of benefiting United Way because United Way really impacts everybody. To bring everyone together for a great cause and have fun while doing it…. you really can’t get any better than that. You can see everyone having fun, engaged in the activities, and learning more about each other. “

The evening started at 5pm with friends and families of local businesses getting together and ready for the tournament bowl. Everyone received a gift bag and t-shirt upon entrance.

Thirteen-year-old volunteer Amitoj Khatra said, “I’m here distributing goodie bags to those attending the event tonight. I particularly like volunteering because when you give someone something, and you see the smile on their face, it’s very satisfying inside.”

By all of the cheers and laughter, it was clear that everyone was having a good time!

Kyle Bernacki said, “I was invited here tonight by Pavement Maintenance Solutions. This is a really fun-fundraiser. “

There were many items and packages being raffled off to help raise funds for United Way. Some of the things up for raffle included: 20 suite tickets and two parking passes from Gary Southshore Railcats, a Mikes Hard Lemonade mini-fridge from Indiana Beverage, a Whitaker Woods Golf Package compliments of Steve and Shellie Dell, a one night stay and breakfast from the Radisson Hotel, and even more fun items and prizes.

Courtney Fokianos, volunteer at the raffle booth said, “Everyone is really pitching in and purchasing a lot of tickets. We have a lot of great sponsors for the raffles also. I really enjoy volunteering; it’s what I do in my spare time. We brought my daughter tonight, and my husband loves to bowl. This is a really great group of people; everyone’s having a great time!”

It was really great for all of these businesses to get together in a fun atmosphere. Stardust Bowl was a fantastic venue to hold a fundraiser like this; they had food, music, tournament prizes, and fun for all ages!
