On Wednesday night, the varsity boys' basketball teams from Lake Station and Bishop Noll competed against each other. The Lake Station Eagles began the night in the lead with a score of 31-27 at the half but ended up losing to the Bishop Noll Warriors with a final score of 53-49. Warriors coach John Dodson contributed the win to the team’s success at rebounding.
“The biggest thing was rebounding,” Dodson said. “I think we were behind a bit in the beginning of the game because we were losing on the offensive rebounds. In the second quarter, rebounding and taking care of the ball became much better.”
The Eagles (6-4) will next face off against the Calumet New Tech Warriors (4-4) on Friday, January 15th at 7 p.m. The Warriors (1-3) will next play the River Forest Ingots (4-6) on Friday, January 15th at 7 p.m.
