Bishop Noll Holds 14th Annual Hall of Honor Ceremony

Bishop-Knoll-Hall-of-Honor-Ceremony-2015Bishop Noll Institute celebrated its 14th annual Hall of Honor induction ceremony this month.

The Hall of Honor recognizes alumni and friends who have demonstrated outstanding service and leadership. This year’s inductee, Miss Ida Polito ’35 was honored as the Outstanding Alumna. In introducing her, BNI president Paul Mullaney remarked that Ida, one of our oldest living alums, has been a staunch supporter of Bishop Noll every year since 1935.

For 80 years Ida has volunteered countless hours helping plan reunions and serving as a class agent over several decades to help support her beloved alma mater. “My parents sent seven of us to Bishop Noll even though money was tight”, said Ida. “After I graduated I felt a duty to give back for the excellent education we received.” As far back as the Advancement Office maintains records, Ida has never missed a yearly contribution to Bishop Noll. Bishop Donald Hying presented the award of Outstanding Alumna 2015 to Miss Polito.
