Bailly Elementary wins World Milk Day Contest

Every year, there is one day where milk is celebrated throughout schools worldwide…World School Milk Day!

On Wednesday, September 25, Bailly Elementary students and staff celebrated the 20th annual World School Milk Day sponsored by the American Dairy Association Indiana.  Students at the school celebrated milk, and all things dairy everyday by helping decorate the walls with pictures of milk, cows, ice cream and barns. Bailly students also dressed in black and white and received cow headbands, and smart snack approved ice cream, provided by Bailly Elementary PTO.

The school's Nutrition and Wellness Department also entered this year’s World School Milk Day contest sponsored by the American Dairy Association Indiana. The contest challenged schools to use milk cartons to create a spectacular, Colts-inspired structure. The structure was to be constructed completely out of empty milk cartons and must be Indianapolis Colts related (i.e., football helmet, horseshoe, football, etc.).

It was announced on School World Milk Day that Bailly Elementary won this year’s contest earning an ice cream social for the entire school.
