Bailly Elementary Raises Money for Shelter

Bailly-raises-money-for-shelterAs part of their One School, One Book events, Bailly Elementary School students participated in Penny Jar Wars raising $1,165.89 for the Porter County Animal Shelter. Holding the check is, left to right, Toni Bianchi of the Porter County Animal Shelter, teachers Jamee Swanson and Tonya Earle, and Principal Kevin Zeck. Swanson and Earle coordinated the event where each class decorated a large image of Humphrey the hamster in a Halloween costume from their common book. Students then brought in money to vote for their favorite class image. Third grade won with Humphrey dressed as Snoopy.
