Bailly Elementary School students and staff shut down the school and streets for about half an hour recently to participate in a Heart Walk for the American Heart Association (AHA). All Duneland Schools participated in fundraisers over the course of the year for the AHA through Jump Rope for Heart, Hoops for Heart or Walk for Heart. Bailly students collected over $3,000 in pledges for the cause. The students' 1.5 mile walk entailed walking from their school, around the block at Chesterton Middle School, and back to Bailly School.
