Ginger Misch, one of Harley-Davidson of Valparaiso’s most beloved employees, has been working at the store for 21 years, and she still remembers the first time she walked through the company’s doors.
“I walked into what would quickly become a little family,” Misch said. “I come to work every day excited to see returning faces and meet new customers. Harley-Davidson has the most unique customer base you’ll ever come across. They are extremely charitable, helpful, and passionate. People will come into the store just to say hello because they haven’t seen me in a while.”
David Brumley, Sales Associate at Harley-Davidson of Valparaiso, took the position almost 15 years ago not knowing it would shape his life in a way he never expected.
“There are so many people out there who physically have the Harley-Davidson symbol tattooed on their bodies. Being part of a company that so many people feel so strongly about is pretty cool,” he said.
Brumley enjoys the family-oriented values that Harley-Davidson exudes.
“It definitely has that family-feel. I’m close with everyone here—we’re just about as close as it gets to a family,” he said. “I never pictured myself being in one place for 15 years, but I’m glad that has been my reality. Every day I kind of feel like I’ve found my home,” Brumley said.

The Harley-Davidson team is looking for a motivated individual to join our team Full-Time as a Parts Associate. The Parts Associate is responsible for taking care of the customer at the counter, answering questions regarding needed parts, working with Mechanics to coordinate Service orders, and other duties as needed.

- Able to assist Service department manager in maintaining a smooth-running efficient service department with a high degree of customer satisfaction.
- Document problems and service needs accurately, and clearly describe them on the repair order.
- Estimate costs and completion times at point of sale. Clearly communicate them to customer.
- Become familiar and efficient with all phases of the computer system required for service and parts management
- Knowledge and experience with servicing Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and other products sold by the dealership, or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn them.
- Experience with point-of-sale and Parts and Service management computer software or the ability to quickly learn due to general knowledge and experience with computers.
- Have a current motorcycle endorsement
