After a one-year hiatus, Four Winds Casino New Buffalo is proud to welcome back their extremely popular winter program with this year’s holiday offering, Holiday Dreams, A Spectacular Holiday Cirque. The special, sold-out show played to a packed house this weekend at the Four Winds New Buffalo Silver Creek Event Center.
“This is one of our big returns,” said Jason George, Director of Entertainment at Four Winds Casino Resorts. “We typically do a holiday show every December. Of course, we took a hiatus last year, but it’s back this year, bigger and better than ever.”
George stated that the type and theme of the cirque event changes from year to year, but it is one of the favorites.
“This event is extremely popular. It's fast-paced, fun, and family-friendly and we typically sell out every year. It’s such an exciting show.”
This year’s show, Holiday Dreams, A Spectacular Holiday Cirque, returns with ground-breaking acts and technology, incorporating world-class acrobats, aerialists, daredevils, and comedians. The show has also added the very latest in visual and technological “magic,” using holograms, projection mapping, and interactive mapping. Created to appeal to children and adults alike, Holiday Dreams includes music, comedy, dance, and a lovable backstory - helping someone who has lost their sense of holiday spirit to find their Christmas joy - all packed into an exciting 90-minute performance.
Bill Stockey of Valparaiso, owner of Hardwoods by Bill, brought his entire staff to the production.
“We loved it! It was a great show. We heard about it on Facebook, we got a great package price for everyone on my staff and had a terrific time,” Stockey said.
The show also engaged the audience with several participation events, including ring tossing, a “human table” trick, and an on-stage dance-off competition. Janet Hauser of Valparaiso was among the audience members kind enough to participate in the dance competition.
“I was very nervous at first, but I really enjoyed it,” said Hauser, who co-owns Hauser Pharmaceutical of Valparaiso. Hauser admitted that show business is in her blood.
“My grandmother was a trapeze artist in the circus,” said Hauser.
Hauser said that she and her husband frequently see cirque shows and added that they particularly enjoy visiting Four Winds New Buffalo.
“We really enjoy coming here to Four Winds. It’s such a beautiful venue, very fun and relaxing, and we like that it’s a non-smoking building,” said Hauser.
