Andrean’s Interact Club looks at different ways it can give back to the community. Each month, President Lauren Moberley tries to find new ideas and pitches what she finds to the team.
February is American Heart Month, so Moberley decided to raise money for Franciscan St. Anthony’s and the NICU department by selling wristbands. The club raised $700 and presented a check to Franciscan Health Foundation Director of Development Laura Mannion and Eric Culp, D.O., Director of the NICU.
“Heart disease is a huge cause of death in the United States alone, and so this is really relevant to everyone around us,” Moberley said. “It was an opportunity for us to not only raise awareness, but also help people who are affected by issues with the heart.”
