Harry Vande Velde, president of Andrean High School, has announced that Bishop Dale Melczek has approved the recommendation of Benjamin Potts as school principal. Potts was presented by Superintendent Barbara O’Block, the Board of Specified Jurisdiction and Velde. Potts will assume his duties on July 15.
"We are thrilled to have him join our team," Velde said. "Mr. Potts brings a stellar background in Catholic School’s management and research to the position. It is clear and evident to all that Ben models the behavior and embodies the spirit of a 21st Century Catholic School Administration."
Potts comes to Andrean from Notre Dame Catholic School in Michigan City, where he has served as Principal since August 2010. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Chicago with a B.A. in history, then completed a Ed.M from Harvard University in Education Policy and Management and in July of this year will receive an M.A. in Educational Administration from the Mary Ann Remick Leadership Program, University of Notre Dame.
