ADS Logistics Golf Outing Makes Huge Impact for Those Struggling with Substance Abuse

Frontline-Foundation-Golf-Outing-Check-2016_01What began as a request for a small donation grew into an enormous show of generosity. Sandy Armstrong, Frontline supporter and volunteer knows all too well the destruction that addiction can have on a family. Sandy’s son struggled with drug use and her family is forever changed by it. Sandy chooses to turn her family’s story from pain and frustration to education and help to those seeking recovery. Sandy says, “We have to talk about it to help those we love, this is an illness and keeping quiet doesn’t help fix anything.” Sandy used her voice and reached out to her friends at ADS Logistics asking for a donation to help Frontline.

Frontline-Foundation-Golf-Outing-Check-2016_02ADS took that request to heart. They chose Frontline as the selected charity for their annual golf outing. The donations of their vendors and clients turned the golf outing into over 800 treatment service hours to help Frontline clients receive much needed treatment. Amber Hicks, Frontline Executive Director and Founder shared enormous gratitude to Sandy and ADS for their generosity and willingness to support Frontline’s mission of hope for those struggling with addiction. Hicks added, “Two things keep people from getting help. One, the inability to pay for treatment and two, the shame associated with drug and alcohol abuse. This amazing support helps on both fronts so that people can get the help they need.”
