It’s an annual tradition here in Valparaiso, and now, registration is open for the 15th annual Turkey Trot!
The race, which happens on Thanksgiving each year, is vital to Porter Starke Services and their ongoing efforts in the community. The event helps raise a substantial amount of funding that the facility can use in its efforts to assist those in need. Each year, Porter Starke Services donates over $20,000 to support individuals, programs, and services that aid in mental health issues and substance abuse treatments.
“We really appreciate everyone that joins us in support of health and wellness on race day morning,” said Elliott Miller, Director of Marketing for Porter-Starke Services. “This walk/run is truly the result of the generosity of our participants, donors and sponsors, as well as a lot of hard work from staff members and volunteers. It’s a great way to gather together on Thanksgiving morning.”
