A General Insurance Services Employee Spotlight: Anthony Dubbs

Anthony Dubbs was born and raised in La Porte, Indiana where he grew up with a love of sports and family. Now, he can be found at the Michigan City office for General Insurance Services as a Personal Insurance Agent who covers insurance needs such as home, auto, boat, and motorcycle.

Dubbs is an all-out family man who enjoys spending time with his wife, Morgan, and his two sons, Graham and Landon. Coming home to them is his favorite part of the day.

“My wife has been a blessing for me,” said Dubbs. “She has pushed me to do things I never thought I could do, that I never imagined doing.”

Growing up, Dubbs’ grandmother was a local insurance agent who helped him realize how important an insurance policy is.

“My grandma worked in insurance for 43 years until she passed away,” Dubbs said. “I never realized how important insurance was and looking back I should have asked her more questions. ”

Dubbs’ received his Insurance Agent License in 2011 at the age of 24. He decided to join the General Insurance Services family in January of this year after learning about their passion for community service.

“[General Insurance Services] has a great reputation and that’s something I enjoy being a part of,” said Dubbs. “I like to be involved in the community, I like to meet new people, and everything [General Insurance Services] wants is something that I want to do.”

Dubbs is excited to be a part of the General Insurance Services team and to share his passion for personalized insurance. He ensures each client knows the scenarios going into a new policy.

“I enjoy getting challenged every day,” said Dubbs. “In our world, no two people are the same. Each person and each family is going to have a different need from the next one.”

Along with family and insurance, Dubbs is also passionate about youth and being involved in the community.

“Right now I’m doing a lot of volunteer work with youth programs,” Dubbs said. “[And] I’m getting ready to start a year-long program that will help me get even more involved in the community.”
