A record number of 162 golfers attended the Powers-Purdue Northwest Golf Invitational at Briar Ridge Country Club Monday afternoon.
The event serves as the biggest single-day event that supports Purdue Northwest student-athlete scholarships, contributing more than $1,000,000 over the span of 38 years.
Residents from all over Northwest Indiana spent time on the course to help fundraise for the student-athletes, which allows PNW to create championship experiences in the classroom, competition and in the community.
