Strack & Van Til and several of their vendors partner with the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana to provide 300 local families in need with Thanksgiving meal assistance. The Mobile Market food distribution will provide individuals and families with food for a complete Thanksgiving meal, including a turkey, vegetables, and other side items.

The distributions are open to all Northwest Indiana residents in need of food assistance and are first-come, first-served until the end of the distribution or all meals have been served. The distribution will be held on Wednesday, November 20th, 4p – 6p, at New Creation Church, 9738 5th Street, Highland.

“The holidays can be a difficult time for families struggling with hunger. There is the added stress of trying to provide a special holiday meal for the family when resources are already limited. With the generosity of Strack & Van Til and their vendors, we will be able to ease that burden for 300 families,” said Victor A. Garcia, Executive Director of the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana. “Through our unified effort, we hope to restore the joy of the holiday season for families in need."

The Food Bank is partnering with several other companies to provide more than 2,000 Thanksgiving meals to individuals and families facing hunger. For the full schedule, visit: foodbanknwi.org/marketplace.
