June 29th

Fireworks on the Lakefront
The Duneland Chamber of Commerce will host the 8th Annual Fireworks on the Lakefront event on Thursday, June 29, 2017. The event will take place at the Indiana Dunes State Park & the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. Join the Chamber and Parks for food vendors and a spectacular fireworks show. Food vendors will begin selling at 6:00 pm and the fireworks show will begin at 9:15 pm.

36th Annual Cedar Lake Summerfest June 30 - July 4, 2017
The volunteers of the Cedar Lake Summerfest Committee are putting on this five day festival that showcases a variety of activities for the whole family- to provide our community and visitors with a great way to celebrate the 4th of July. The five days will include; a carnival, live entertainment, bingo, beer garden, food vendors, and merchant vendors and of course fireworks. Check the schedule for the Land Parade, Cardboard Boat Race, Boat Parade, Cupcake Contest, Pancake Breakfast, and the Talent Show. Located at Cedar Lake Town Grounds, 7408 Constitution Avenue

4th of July Fireworks Show in Schererville at Dusk
A fireworks show will be held at Rohrman Park to celebrate the 4th of July. Every year the Schererville Parks and Recreation department hosts a fireworks show at Rohrman Park a few days prior to the 4th of July. The show starts at dusk. Those wishing to attend should try to come early. Bring chairs, blankets, and snacks. In the event the Fireworks show is cancelled due to weather, the time will be changed to Sunday, July 2nd at dusk.

Michigan City Star Spangled Bicentennial Parade
11am - 2pm Join us as we celebrate Independence Day and America’s Heroes in beautiful Michigan City, Indiana! This year's Patriotic Parade will be held on Saturday, July 1 and starts at 11 AM CST. The parade route will run along Franklin Street, beginning on the corner of Arthur and Franklin and will end on Detroit and Franklin. This event is free and open to the public. East Chicago Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks Show
Time: 5:00pm - 11:00pm Jeorse Park Beach
Come Join Mayor Anthony Copeland and the East Chicago Marina as we celebrate Independence Day at the Jeorse Park Beach along our developing lakefront. There will be music provided by "HEAVY" and a DJ. There will be various food vendors and of course an awesome FIREWORKS show by the MAD BOMBER! Sorry no coolers allowed. Admission is Free so bring the entire family.

Highland All-America Mile Run & Twilight Parade
The All-American Mile Run, sponsored by First Financial Bank, kicks off the Twilight Independence Day Parade. All participants receive a T-shirt. Entry forms are available at Lincoln Center. Register race day from 5 to 6:15 p.m. on Kennedy Avenue by the high school. Open to all age groups, the race begins at 6:30 p.m. July 3 at 40th Street and Kennedy Avenue. The fee is $10 through July 1 and $15 on race day. TOP PRIZES: Awards for Top 3 in each age division. Munster's 4th of July Fireworks
Entertainment featuring JAMROSE will begin at 7:30 p.m. and continues after the fireworks until 11:00 p.m. Concessions provided by the local area restaurants and Munster not-for-profit groups. Alcoholic beverages available for purchase in the beer garden.

City of Whiting Fireworks & Party in the Park

Valparaiso 4th of July Blast 5K Run/Walk
Registration for the Valpo Parks 2nd Annual 4th of July Blast 5K Run/Walk on Tuesday, July 4 is open online at RunSignUp.com. The run/walk starts at 7:30 a.m. from Foundation Meadows Park, 3210 N. Campbell Street, Valparaiso. All ages and abilities are invited to participate. This year’s event offers a scenic tour through Valparaiso’s west side using roadways and the new Vale Park West pathway.

City of Gary Independence Day Parade 2017
Join Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson, the City of Gary, and the Gary Common Council for this spectacular, patriotic event! This year's theme is "Gary Indiana: On the Shores of Opportunity." The Parade route will be 25th Ave., from Washington St. to Grant Street. Parade applications are available at www.gary.in.us or at the Citizens Services Desk on the 1st floor of City Hall. La Porte 71st Annual 4th of July Parade
Time: 10:00am
The largest parade in the state of Indiana begins on the East side of La Porte on Lincolnway and continues down a 2.5 mile route to the West Side of La Porte. The Parade may be televised live on a local cable station and there will be live radio coverage from start to finish. The Parade will begin at 10:00 am and will last approximately 2-3 hours.

City of Hobart July 4th Festivities
Hobart is the place to be on the 4th of July! We will kick off the day with the Hobart Chamber of Commerce 4th of July Parade at 10 am starting in Mundell Field. After hanging out all day with family and friends... head on over to Fesitval Park at 6:00 pm to start the party before the Firework Display! FOX Sound will take the stage at 6:00 playing your favorite top hits. The Community Center parking lot will be packed with your favorite food vendors. Enjoy an evening of Celebration, Fireworks, Food, Family and FUN!

City of Whiting 4th of July Parade

Join us as we celebrate Whiting's traditional tribute to soldiers and veterans at the 98th Annual 4th of July Parade in historic downtown Whiting. Come out and walk with us and slew of children’s characters including the beloved Care Bears™, Caillou™, Garfield and Odie™, and famous Justice League™ Super Heroes Superman™, Batman™, Wonder Woman™, Green Lantern™ and Flash™. The parade begins at 116th Street and Indianapolis and continues down 119th Street to Whiting's Lakefront Park.

Griffith 2017 4th of July Parade
Griffith's 4th of July parade will take place on July 4th starting at 10am at the intersection of Ash/Broad Streets. Cedar Lake Summerfest Parade

Portage Independence Day Parade and Festival
This year’s theme, “The City of Portage Turns 50!” Parade will begin at 11:00 am. It will begin at the Portage Mall and head west down Central Avenue to Willowcreek Road, then head South to Stone Avenue. Festival will be held at Founders Square Amphitheater starting at 5:00pm with live entertainment from 6pm to 9:30pm. Fireworks will begin at approximately 9:30pm.

Merrillville 2017 Independence Day Parade
Parade Line-up at Geisen Funeral Home - 80th & Broadway begins at 10am. Parade begins at 12pm and travels North on Broadway to 67th Ave. (High School Entrance).

Hammond 4th of July at Wolf Lake Pavilion 2017
Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. and the Hammond Port Authority are proud to announce the details of the annual Fourth of July Celebration at Wolf Lake. The annual Naturalization Ceremony will begin July 4th at 5:00pm at The Pav. The Bill Porter Orchestra is guaranteed to put you in a patriotic mood when they perform after the ceremony’s completion (approximately 7 pm). Fireworks wrap the evening at approximately 9 pm. This is a free event. Concert goers are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets and picnic baskets. Bags may be subject to search by security. Other restrictions may apply.

Valparaiso 4th of July Blast Celebration
Join Valpo Parks and the City of Valparaiso at the annual 4th of July Blast Celebration beginning at 6:30 p.m. with guest speakers, food vendors, live music by The Unit and fireworks by Ace Pyro. Fireworks will begin at dusk (approximately 9:00 p.m.) The celebration will be located on the Cumberland Loop located at Vale Park Road and Valparaiso Street. Parking will be available at the former Purdue North Central Valpo Campus located on Valley Drive and will offer both handicap accessible and standard parking spaces. Foundation Meadows Park and Valparaiso High School are nearby parking options with access via the Vale Park Road pathway leading to the new event site.

Michigan City 4th of July Fireworks
Come out and enjoy all of the 4th of July festivities in beautiful Washington Park. While in the park, take advantage of the beautiful beaches, splash park, Old Lighthouse Museum and the Washington Park Zoo. Fireworks begin at dusk.

2017 Crown Point 4th of July Fireworks Display
9 PM - 9:30 PM
The Fireworks Display is at the Lake County Fairgrounds and early arrival is recommended. Vehicles may enter through the Greenwood/Court Street Gate or the South Gate on 121st Street. The 4-H building entrance is for pedestrians only. Lake Street will be closed to traffic and no viewing of the show will be permitted there, by order of the Crown Point Police Department. The event starts at dusk which is generally around 9:00 PM but can start earlier or a bit later. Fireworks will last roughly 30 minutes with corresponding music to the display. Melrose Pyrotechnics is providing the Fireworks Display and corresponding music with Fire Star DJ and Karaoke Entertainment providing the sound system. Mike Anderson Chevrolet is sponsoring this event with this year being the 6th year in a row for sponsorship.

South Haven 4th of July Parade
For any registered girl in Troops 30057, 30259, 30375 and 35121 who would like to WALK in the South Haven 4th of July Parade. We will meet at Paul Saylor school at 3:00 pm and finalize decorations and WALK to the American Legion Post 502 where parents should pick up the girls who participated. There will be refreshments served by the Legion.

Asking each girl to bring candy to TOSS along the route between Paul Saylor and South Haven. It is NOT for the girls to eat/keep.

Town of Porter Family 4th Fest
Family fun on the 4th of July. Parade 9am begins at Yost Elementary School and ends in Hawthorne Park. Free games and activities for kids. Lions Club pancake breakfast 7-11am, Turtle Derby 11am (for details see Chesterton Lions website), bounce houses, music, beer garden, food and fireworks at dusk.

Lakes of the Four Seasons 4th of July Parade
Come join us this year in the LOFS 4th of July parade. If you own a golf cart and would like to participate, let us know. We will be supplying the goodies to throw to the parade goers, so make sure you RSVP in order to make sure we have an ample supply! Come on out and have a great time!

July 8th

4th of July Fireworks Display and Open Pit Barbeque Dinner
A joint project between the Chamber of Commerce and the Koselke-Mayfield post of the American Legion in Wanatah, this event features a variety of activities the whole family can enjoy. It starts in the afternoon with the Hawg Creek Duck race and an Open Pit BBQ Dinner. Following the fireworks display at dusk, there is a dance in the Legion hall for those over 21. Held the first Saturday after the 4th of July.
