2016 Pi Day Activities at Westchester Intermediate

Pi-Day-Activities-at-Westchester-2016Fifth graders spent the entire day learning about Pi at Westchester Intermediate School recently. Students read story books, created poems, read articles about the history of Pi, participated in a scavenger hunt, played games, and measured circular items.

As a culminating activity at the end of the day, students ate circular items such as pie, cupcakes, and cookies in which they made and baked the day before. Pictured with their pies all ready to bake are fifth grade students, front, left to right, Chloe Wisniewski, Cadence Orange, Ingrid Hurst, Taylor Schnatz and Lyndsey Sharpe. Back row, James Rader, Bryce Thoma and Eli Garcia.
