Portage 50 Cent Rummage Sale and Antique Car Show
The Bonner Senior Center, 5800 Lexington Ave., Portage, IN, will have a huge 50 cent rummage sale on Friday, Sept., 18, from 8 am-11 am. Shop for clothing, shoes, purses, books, housewares, and more. Too much to list. The sale continues on Sat., Sept. 19, from 9 am-2 pm along with their annual antique auto show from 10 am-2 pm. Chicken dinners will be available to purchase on Sat. Echoes of Pompeii Fundraiser Concert
On September 18th, 2015 Echoes of Pompeii, NW Indiana's premier Pink Floyd Tribute band, will come to Portage, IN. Woodland Park Oakwood Grand Ballroom 2100 Willowcreek Road, Portage, IN 46368 will host their exciting sound and visual experience. 

Road to Rio Tour
As a proud sponsor of the U.S. Olympic Committee and Team USA, BP is honored to bring the Road to Rio experience to Northwest Indiana. Join them Saturday, September 19 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Whihala Beach in Whiting for the Team USA Road to Rio Tour. 

Lorie’s Lakeside Century
Coming up on September 19, 2015 is Lorie’s Lakeside Century, the annual cycling event put on in memory of Lorie Kirkley, a cardiac rehab nurse with Porter Health Care System who lost her life to a violent crime in 1999. Lorie was an avid cyclist, and participated in this event when it was called Casual Coast and Country. 

Valparaiso International Center World Cultural Festival
Don't miss the opportunity to see and hear these great performers and many, many more at the 7th Annual World Cultural Festival. New this year are the Nordikids sharing the culture of the Nordic countries. These talented youngsters from throughout the Chicagoland region will perform traditional dances from Scandinavia.

Over the Rhine
On September 19th Over the Rhine will make their stop at Valparaiso’s Memorial Opera House as a part of the Imagine Music Concert Series. The concert is being billed as “An Acoustic Evening with Over the Rhine” that will take place in a venue that seems like the most appropriate place to experience their music. The two will be presenting a low-key, beautiful evening for anyone interested or invested in music to experience. They will be joined by multi-instrumentalist Bradley Meinerding, forming a trio and will bring a new dimension to their two-piece songs.

La Porte 17th Annual Sunflower Fair
The Sunflower Fair in beautiful, historic Downtown La Porte is one of the largest area festivals with over 100 craft and nonprofit vendors, food, entertainment, rides, and more. Brought to you by the Greater La Porte Chamber of Commerce and a volunteer committee of dedicated community members, the unique fair celebrates everything fall and community. The fair comes downtown every 3rd Saturday in September. Save the date for the 17th Annual Sunflower Fair on September 19, 2015! 

Hobart Brews & Blues Fest
Hobart's Brews & Blues Fest welcomes local breweries from Indiana and beyond to our beautiful Festival Park on Lake George. All proceeds benefit The City of Hobart Special Events and the Hobart Parks Department. 

International Demolition Derby
Head to the La Porte County Fairgrounds on Saturday September 19 to see the International Demolition Derby Championships! Spectators can see Power Wheels, Garden Tractors, Figure "8", Fair, Stock, Compact, Midsize and Truck Demolition Derbies. Admission is $10 per person. Hospice of the Calumet Area Hospice Hustle
The Hospice of the Calumet Area is hosting their annual Hospice Hustle bike ride coming up on September 20, 2015. They have this special ride to raise funds for their nonprofit organization, which helps individuals who are in their final stages of life.
