Chicago Street Theatre Press Release: Hair Comes to Chicago Street in Rocktober
Audiences can celebrate "Rocktober" and expect to do a little time traveling back to the 60's as Chicago Street Theatre honors the 50th Anniversary of the rock musical HAIR. While this is a departure from the theatre group's usual Halloween fare, the group is excited to bring one of Broadway's most celebrated productions to its stage. In addition to the show, CST will also host its 6th Annual Halloween Party with Special Guest, Me-TV's Svengoolie on Friday, October 13. The 21 & Up fundraising party with food, cash bar, costume contest, and meet and greet/photo op with Rich Koz supports various projects the theatre has going on throughout 2017/2018.
Portage YMCA Trick or Treat Trail Walk - Friday, Portage
We at the Portage Township YMCA would like to invite you and your business to be a part of our 5th annual Trick-or-Treat Trail Walk! What is the Trick-or-Treat Trail Walk you ask? It’s an event where local businesses come together in a fun family-friendly environment to bring smiles and joy to the children of Portage by handing out candy. This year’s Trail Walk will be held at the Portage Y from 5:30-8pm on Friday October 13th.
2017 Festival of the Trail Comes To Downtown Highland - Saturday, Highland
The event's themes are the arts and fitness, and this year's event features artist and vendor booths, live music and poetry readings, a "Fun Run/ Walk" with Girls on the Run of Northwest Indiana, tricycle races hosted by Milestone Therapy, activities both inside and outside the Highland Branch Library, and a small Farmer's Market. There will food options both onsite and within Highland's downtown, which will also be hosting the Highland Fire Department's annual Open House event on Highway Avenue and 4th Street.
