Blood Sweat & Tears ft. Bo Bice at Majestic Star Casino 
On Friday, January 30th, Bloot Sweat & Tears, featuring Bo Bice, will perform two shows at the Majestic Star Casino at 7:00PM & 9:00PM. $35 for General Admission Tickets, available to Majestic Rewards Members at Passports Buffet. $40 for preferred seating. Portage Township YMCA to Host Movie Night at the Y on Friday 
On Friday, January 30, the Portage Township YMCA will host "Movie Night @ the Y." The event will show "Mr. Peabody & Sherman" and be free for all ages.

WinterFest in La Porte
The Helping Heroes Ice Fishing Derby is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 31, beginning with registration at 8 a.m. at Cummings Lodge with the derby beginning at 9 a.m. Cash prizes will be awarded in various categories based on registration fees. The day concludes with measurements at 2 p.m. at the lodge. The “Snowball Softball” Adult Coed Tournament returns to Lions Field at 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, and will be held come snow or more snow. The double-elimination tournament is limited to the first eight teams to register.

The Valparaiso Family YMCA Y Bash is this Saturday, January 31, 2015 
The Y BASH list of silent auction items is topped by an autographed bat by Ernie Banks. Saturday would have been Ernie’s 84th Birthday. Help Me Mommy Presents Rocky Horror Picture Show
Come on down to see The Rocky Horror Picture Show this Saturday night at the Hobart Art Theatre at 11 PM! Pre-show starts at 11:30 PM, and the movie rolls at midnight. Tickets are only $8, and the cast sells survival "prop" kits for the low-low price of only $2. They include everything you need to interact with the cast and the movie!

South Shore Roller Girls Derby 101 
The South Shore Roller Girls will kick off the 2015 season with a “Derby 101”. As we get back into the swing of things, and start our new season, we are opening our doors to women 18 years and older interested in playing roller derby. The sessions are Sundays from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Camelot Bowling Center in Portage, IN beginning February 1st through March 1st. The cost is $5 per person –per session. Cash only. If you want to be your own hero, here is your chance!

Race the Gold Cup Series at Steel Wheels BMX “Where Nobody Sits the Bench” 
On February 1, 2015 come join the BMX community and Race for THE GOLD CUP at Steel Wheels BMX, 709 North Hobart Road, Hobart, IN 46342! The ONLY indoor BMX track in Indiana will host its annual TRIPLE POINTS Gold Cup Qualifier. Registration for this race is 9-11am with racing immediately following. Fees for racing are $35 Class or Cruiser, $60 Class and Cruiser, and $10 Open or Strider. Spectators are ALWAYS FREE! USA BMX memberships are required to race this race. Come watch this amazing event unfold as it is the second stop in The Regional Gold Cup East Qualifiers series.
