With fish fries starting, Comic-Con coming to town, and a public Oscars viewing party (and more!), there's certainly something for everyone in the region! Westville United Methodist Church 2015 Lenten Fish Fries Begin on February, 20 
The Fish Fry crew of the Westville United Methodist Church is back by popular demand serving their Friday night Fish Fries during the Lenten season. Dinner includes your choice of Fried or Baked Pollack or Shrimp, French Fries or Baked Potato, coleslaw, bread and drink for $8.50 or $7.00 for Senior Citizen. A Pork Tenderloin sandwich, fries and coleslaw is also available for $6.00. Dessert and pop is available at an additional charge. Serving from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.

Les Miserables at the Memorial Opera House 
For over thirty years, Les Misérables has been acclaimed as a musical triumph that has inspired millions worldwide. Now we're honored to open our 2015 season with the beloved saga of hope and redemption! With an epic cast, gripping story and music that will touch your heart, this is a theatrical experience unlike any other. Raise your voice. Lift your spirit. Dream a dream! Shows are Friday, Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 2pm.

NWI Comic-Con Returns to South Shore in 2015  The 2nd Annual Northwest Indiana Comic-Con returns to the South Shore on Saturday, Feb. 21, at Halls of St. George. The family-friendly show focuses on comics, creators, community and fans while offering attendees numerous things to experience. The one-day comic book convention will feature artists and dealers, a cosplay corner, a table top gaming room, concessions and more.

Crossroads Chamber to Host 2015 Antique & Collectibles Show on Saturday 
The Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 2015 Antique & Collectibles Show Saturday, February 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, February 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There are over 40 dealers and Bubba Q Bar-B-Que will be selling their delicious dishes for hungry shoppers. This is a great time to relax and have fun shopping while Five Star DJ spins classic and favorite tunes.

Party in Peace: Stop the Violence set for Saturday 
Come to the Hammond Civic Center on Saturday, February 21st to see Rae Sremmurd perform live. The event will also feature: DJ Amaris, DJ Hoop Dreams, DJ Shon, and DJ Nava. Tickets are $10 if purchased in advance or $20 at the door. Pre-sale tickets will be available at the Civic Center Box Office and other various locations.

Bride Blu 2015: Blue Chip Presents the Ultimate Wedding Planning Experience 
Brides and grooms-to-be are invited to attend the ultimate wedding planning experience. Bride blu, an exclusive Blue Chip bridal event, will be held in the Stardust Event Center at Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa, Michigan City, Indiana, on Sunday, February 22, from 12 pm to 3 pm.

Coffee & Canvas with Porter County Parks & Recreation 
Grab a group of friends and join us on Sunday, February 22nd, 2-5pm for this fun guided class as we work together through a spring painting project targeted at all skill levels! Enjoy gourmet coffee and treats as you work on your 11”x14” canvas (all supplies provided). At the end all participants will get to take home their completed project to show off! 2015 Rotary vs Kiwanis Chili Cookoff 
The Rotary and Kiwanis Clubs of Valparaiso are coming together on February 22nd in a friendly competition to create the best chili! The event will take place from 3-7 at the Valparaiso VFW at 705 Roosevelt Road, Valparaiso, IN 46383. Your ticket includes entry into the event and the opportunity to sample and vote for the best chili in town. If you like, you may purchase your favorite bowl of chili for $5.

Watch the Oscars Live at the Portage 16 IMAX! 
We are excited to bring you the Academy Awards live on the big screen on Sunday February 22, 2015. Free admission for all (first come, first served) to see the live broadcast of 'The Oscars' at select theaters. We will open doors at 6:45pm ET / 5:45pm CT so you can watch the stars walk the red carpet and then the Academy Awards broadcast at 8:00pm ET / 7:00pm CT. It's free! Come to Majestic Star Casino for Chinese New Year as We Celebrate the Year of the Goat! 
On February 22, 2015 a special celebration will be taking place in our Baccarat Room at the Majestic Star Casino for Chinese New Year. The holiday officially begins on February 19 and lasts for seven days, so we thought that we should get in on the party. Beginning at 8pm, guests can get the full experience of the Chinese New Year with a live performance with lion dancers and a noodle bar featuring authentic Cantonese cuisine.
