Safe Sitter is a program for 11 - 14 year olds to learn life-saving skills so they'll be safe when they're at home alone or when they're watching younger children. During the program, participants will enjoy fun activities, make new friends and learn how to use Safe Sitter skills. Safe Sitter will be held June 4 from 9am to 3pm, and June 5 from 9am until noon in the Y's Community Room . The cost to participate is $65 per person; scholarships are available.
"This program is returning by popular demand. We believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve," says Shannon Spratley, Y Senior Program Director. "That's why, through programs we offer like Safe Sitter, youth are cultivating the values, skills and relationships that lead to positive behaviors."
