On Thursday, April 30, the Indiana University Northwest School of Business and Economics and the IU Northwest Business Alliance will welcome Tim Shurr as the speaker for the 2015 Business Speakers Series Luncheon at the Radisson Hotel Star Plaza.
Doors open at 11 a.m. and lunch is served promptly at 11:30 a.m. in the Grand Metropolitan Room of the Radisson Hotel Star Plaza, located at 800 E. 81st Ave. in Merrillville.
Keynote speaker Tim Shurr is an award-winning motivational speaker, TV personality, and president of Shurr Success, Inc., a training firm that empowers managers with transformational communication skills for maximizing employee engagement. Shurr is a 1993 graduate of IU Northwest with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology.
As an internationally known expert in persuasion and influence, Shurr equips leaders with unique self-awareness, listening, and public speaking skills for bypassing common workplace resistance and strengthening corporate cultures. The annual event serves as a fundraiser to benefit the School of Business and Economics, which is the only public business program in Northwest Indiana to be accredited by the prestigious Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB).

Tickets are $45 per person, or $400 for a table of 10. All packages except individuals include eight corporate representatives and two business and economic students.
