The La Porte Slicers' perfect 11-0 record is good enough for the ninth overall ranking in the state, according to the latest Indiana Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) poll released on Monday. The Slicers received a total of 280 points in the poll.
La Porte was joined by Duneland Athletic Conference rival Lake Central, whose 12-1 record earned them the number 12 spot in the poll.
The Merrillville Pirates received votes in the latest poll, but were not among the top 20.
