The Indiana Department of Transportation announces road closures for State Road 51/State Road 130/Hobart Rd between State Road 51/Cleveland Ave and Hickey St on or after Monday, April 14.
The road will first be closed through early May for NIPSCO gas line relocation work. Once complete, INDOT contractor Superior Construction Co Inc will have the road closed for a culvert replacement at Frog Creek through early August.
During these closures, INDOT contractor Milestone Contractors North Inc will also be making repairs at the State Road 130/State Road 51/Hobart Rd and State Road 51/Cleveland Ave roundabout. This will result in the closure of the northwestern portion of the roundabout. Traffic will not be able to exit north or west from the roundabout.
Motorists should seek alternate routes. The official detour will follow U.S. 6 and State Road 149 or I-94, I-65 and U.S. 30.
