Northwest Health – Porter announced today that it has been designated an Aetna Institute of Quality® orthopedic facility for total joint replacement surgery.
The hospital earned the Institute of Quality status by consistently delivering safe, effective care. Aetna makes information about the quality and cost of that care available to its members. This helps them identify hospitals that meet their health care needs.
“The medical staff and employees at Northwest Health – Porter are dedicated to delivering the best possible care and surgical outcomes for their patients,” said James Leonard, D.O., chief executive officer for the hospital. “We know the high standards Aetna uses to evaluate hospitals and we appreciate that they named our hospital an Institute of Quality®.”
Northwest Health – Porter’s orthopedic staff and the surgeons from Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute care for a full range of orthopedic conditions including arthritis and joint disease, back and neck pain, sports injuries, repetitive stress injuries, congenital deformities and conditions, traumatic injuries, and more.
The quality of the hospital’s spine, knee and hip replacement care has also been recognized by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
